Through InsureDaily, you can get a quote in seconds and cover in minutes, we understand people just want to be on their way.
We’ve answered a few of our frequently asked questions so you can get the quick lowdown on our policies before purchasing.
Will I be covered if I drive my vehicle abroad?
If you have purchased a policy with InsureDaily, your policy will provide insurance cover required for Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, and during sea journeys between these places.
Otherwise, the policy will only provide the MINIMUM cover you need by law to use your vehicle in:
- any country which is a member of the European Union; and
- any other country for which the Commission of the European Community is satisfied that arrangements have been made to meet the requirements of EC Insurance Directives.
Alternatively, our sister website at www.insure4aday.co.uk is able to extend the UK cover to travel into Europe for an additional payment shown at Step 3 providing your visit is temporary and the vehicle is being returned to the UK within the policy period of cover only.
When will my vehicle appear on the Motor Insurer’s Database (MID) if I purchase a policy?
The Motor Insurer’s Database (MID) is not updated in real time and can take several working days to appear on it. In some cases such as a one-day policy, the policy would have already expired before being received by them.
To combat this, you should always carry your insurance certificate just in case. This serves as proof that you are covered.
Can I buy temporary insurance to retrieve an impounded vehicle?
You will be unable to use an insuredaily.co.uk temporary certificate of insurance for recovery of an impounded vehicle. Our certificates are clearly marked to this effect.
Our sister company – www.insure4aday.co.uk offers cover for impounded vehicles.
What is excess protect insurance?
Excess Protect Insurance is an optional add-on product and provides insurance cover for the reimbursement of the policy excess you will have to pay when you make a claim on your InsureDaily motor policy and whilst driving in the UK only.
Can I make amendments to my policy after purchasing?
Unfortunately due to the nature of these short-term policies, we are unable to make any changes to the policy after payment has been made.
We do accept cancellations however, we do not provide refunds.
How do I access my insurance documents?
After purchasing, we will send you a downloadable PDF of your insurance documents. We recommend that you print these and keep them on you when driving.
If you can’t find this email, we advise checking your “Spam” folder or double checking that you supplied us with the right email address.
What vehicles do you insure?
This will be dependent on your age as minimum age restrictions apply according to the vehicle insurance group. Only those vehicles which we can insure will be displayed after you have entered the vehicle registration number.
