Q. How does Verified by Visa and/or MasterCard Secure Code work?

A. Complete your request for temporary insurance cover. At the payment stage you’ll be prompted to register (if you haven’t already done so) or to enter your Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure Code password. At this stage you will be communicating directly with your card issuer – we do not see or have access to the details you provide. Your card issuer will verify the payment card information and allow payment once authenticated. Your insurance application will then be completed and you will receive confirmation of insurance cover on screen as normal. You are then given the opportunity to print out your insurance documents or save them to your desktop. It is just like entering your PIN number in the supermarket – but you register a password (a virtual signature) for online shopping.
