HSBC Insurance (UK) Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of HSBC Insurance Holdings Limited, which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of HSBC Holding Plc.
The origins of HSBC Insurance (UK) Limited can be traced back to 1964 when they were trading as a Lloyd's motor syndicate known as Corinthian Policies at Lloyd's. The syndicate was acquired by HSBC for the commencement of the 1996-year and traded as Corinthian Insurance Company Limited. In 2006, Corinthian Insurance re-branded into the corporate identity of HSBC. Martyn Capewell FCII, deputy Underwriter of the syndicate since 1987, was appointed Chief Executive of the new entry in 1996.
HSBC Insurance (UK) Limited has products for many different and specialist requirements. The head office is based in Brentwood, Essex; with claims offices in Norwich and Birmingham & Brentwood.
