Eligibility & Acceptance Criteria

The statements below must describe your circumstances correctly.

You the Proposer must:

  • Be aged between 21 and 75 years
  • Hold a current full and valid UK, EC or EEA licence for at least 12 months
  • Have been continuously resident in the United Kingdom or the European Union for the past 12 months
  • Have informed the DVLA about any medical conditions that are required to be reported - to view the web page covering medical rules for driving licences - click here
  • Have had no more than 2 fault claims in the last 3 years
  • Have no more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence within the last 5 years and have no prosecution or police enquiry pending
  • NOT have been disqualified from driving in the last 5 years
  • NOT have been convicted or cautioned within the last five years in respect of any offence involving dishonesty, fraud, robbery or arson or have any prosecutions or police enquiries pending
  • NOT have an occupation; full or part-time which is connected to the following trades or professions:
    • Couriers, Parcel & Fast-food delivery
    • Entertainment Industry
    • Nightclubs and Gambling Industries
    • Private & Public Hire drivers
    • Professional Sports-person
    • Unemployed persons

The vehicle must:

  • Be listed on our Website and must NOT have a registration number issued outside of the United Kingdom, or number-plate starting with the letter 'Q'
  • Be right-hand drive
  • Have a current value not exceeding £35000*
  • Have no more than 8 seats in total including the driver
  • Not exceed 3500kg gross vehicle weight where the vehicle is classed as a light commercial
  • Not be owned by, and/or hired out by, any Vehicle Rental company
  • Only be used for social domestic & pleasure purposes which includes driving to and from work and personal business use by the Policyholder only
  • Not be used for any purpose in connection with the motor trade, carriage of goods or passengers for hire or reward, racing, pace-making, speed testing, rallies, trials or competitions
  • Not be used to carry hazardous goods or be used or driven at a hazardous location

Other important information

  • * There is no limit to the market value of the vehicle to be insured but the maximum indemnity limit in respect of loss or damage shall not exceed £35000. Vehicles in excess of £30000 and under £35000 will be subject to a 10% co-insurance clause unless fitted with a Satellite Tracking Device.

Vehicle Modifications

  • Vehicles fitted with manufacturer specified optional extras, fitted at the time of manufacture are acceptable
  • Vehicles modified to cater for a disabled driver or a disabled passenger are acceptable
  • All other post manufacture modifications (cosmetic or performance related) are not acceptable

Road Licensing (Car Tax)

insuredaily.co.uk insurance certificates provide evidence of insurance cover in the format prescribed by Road Traffic Act legislation. However, the DVLA and UK Post Offices will not accept electronically downloaded documents for road fund licence purposes. Therefore, you cannot purchase temporary insurance under this arrangement for the purpose of obtaining a road fund licence. Road fund licences should be obtained using documentation supplied by the provider of appropriate annual insurance cover on the relevant vehicle.

Impounded Vehicles

insuredaily.co.uk certificates cannot be used for the purpose of recovering an impounded or confiscated vehicle.

You will be unable to purchase short-term insurance cover through this Website if you cannot agree to any of the above statements.
